Senate President Stephen SweeneyNEWFIELD — The borough will receive $125,000 in federal funding to hire a police officer, Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assembly members John J. Burzichelli and Celeste Riley announced Wednesday.
Bridgeton is to receive $375,000 to hire three officers, the legislators said.
