Gloucester County Surrogate Helen M. Reed was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the Judiciary-Surrogates Liaison Committee.
Reed, who is running in November to keep the seat of county surrogate, was recommended for the post by the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey’s surrogate section.
“I am honored to serve on this committee that provides meaningful decisions that help improve both the laws and procedures that guide the work of Surrogates offices throughout our state,” Reed said in a statement released today.
Reed, of Monroe Township, will serve with four more county surrogates in the state and five Superior Court judges on the committee to improve practices and procedures in the areas of estate, guardianship, and adoption matters.
